Fibre

Fibre optic cable is high bandwidth and long distance cable for communications. In the office environment this cable is used extensively when high bandwidth is required.

Fibre optic cable can connect offices, when large bandwidth transfer is necessary, or permit communication between data cabinets When clients require buildings connected with fibre optic we can install external ducting. (Please refer to Ducting and Civil Engineering for further information.) We excavate the road, path or soft dig, to install a specific protective duct and ensconce the fibre optics within.

The duct is owned by the client and has no per annum cost.

The main uses for fibre optic cables are as follows:

  • CCTV
  • Data cabinet connection
  • Building to building connection
  • Mobile telephone technology
  • High bandwidth
  • Long distance
  • Secure LAN
